Have you ever known anyone who seemed to be bigger than life? To me it was my Dad.
There was something about him.
He laughed and looked the other way.
He knew . . . well . . . just about everybody.
He stayed calm when his son was trying his "wings."
8-6-2011 Giving Up
David Perry Says . . .
When is the last time you felt like giving up?
We all know there are plenty of times when we
just want to throw in the towel, but we do not.
Why?
Because life is definitely worth hanging around for.
And it's funny, because we all seem to have similar experiences that drive us to the point of giving up.
1-6-2011 Let's Celebrate
David Perry Says . . .
Don't wait for a special holiday or birthday to celebrate. There are plenty of reasons to get excited and exuberant.
Let's celebrate freedom!
. . . it's a lot to live, and to die for.
Don't take it for granted.
25-5-2011 New Party Officers
Our Constitution Party State Convention was held on Saturday May 14th and was a very successful event. Steve Pratt was the key note speaker and gave an hour long lecture on state sovereignty. He does a magnificent job and was well received. Scott Bradley the party’s U S Senate candidate for the 2010 General Election spoke on the danger of holding a Constitutional Convention, something that a large number of state legislatures have called for. Other speakers included Bryce Hamilton, Duchesne Cou
nty chair. He spoke about his success in building a strong party in that county The fourth speaker was Lyle Nelson who successfully ran for an open seat on the Morgan County Council in the 2010 General Election. He addressed the topic of how an elected party member can influence and teach fellow elected officers, principles of proper government as espoused by the Founding Fathers.
Another item on the agenda was the election of new state party officers.
18-5-2011 State Convention
My sincere thanks to each of you who made the effort to attend the state convention. I know it was a real sacrifice on the part of many of you to attend. I thought the speakers did a tremendous job and everyone left the meeting upbeat. There were many of the party leaders who were not able to attend the meeting due to other conflicts so I very much appreciate those of you who were able to attend.
The Montana State Convention was held the same day as ours and I have very good news to report on that event. New officers were elected to the party and the convention delegates voted by a margin of 2 to 1 to re-affiliate with the national party. Of the seven states who originally left the party over the right to life issue six have now returned all with good leadership. Oregon remains the only state that has yet to return and there is effort being made there to have that state re-affiliate, hopefully
not in the too distant future. They did place Chuck Baldwin on their ballot last year.
11-5-2011 State Convention
This coming Saturday, May 14th is our Utah Constitution Party State Convention. The location for the convention is at the Salt Lake County Chambers Building at the corner of 1910 South State Street. Simply turn east at the light at 1910 South State, and then take your first right into the facility parking lot. All state delegates that attended the 2010 State Convention should attend this event. The public is invited to attend as well, but only delegates will have voting privileges. Registration goes fr
om 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and the convention will convene at 9:00 AM. The convention should conclude by 3:00 PM and there will be a 30 minute lunch break so all of the delegates are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. I look forward to seeing you all there.
4-5-2011 National Committee Meeting
Just prior to my departure for Harrisburg, PA, I received a call from Scott Bradley informing me that he would not be able to attend the meeting. His younger brother Guy passed away and so Scott needed to cancel his plans in order to attend and to speak at his brother’s funeral. Please let Scott know that our prayers and sincere sympathy are extended to him and his family.
20-4-2011 The DVD titled - Agenda
The response that we have had from party members who have watched the DVD “Agenda” has been outstanding. Once people watch it, they want copies of it to share with friends and family. All but two of the DVD’s we had were gone by the end of the week.
13-4-2011 Agenda - the DVD
At our most recent Constitution Party Executive Committee Meeting, we viewed a new documentary called “Agenda” done by Curtis Bowers of the Idaho State legislature. It is a 97 minute DVD and is well done. I was introduced to the DVD at a state wide training meeting I recently attended in Lander, WY. We plan to make that available to our members at our cost and will have it available at our upcoming state convention on May 14th at the Salt Lake County Chambers building in Salt Lake City. For those w
ho arrive early, we will begin showing that DVD a half hour before the convention begins. This will give those who arrive early a chance to preview the DVD and will also allow you to make good use of your time. It is a powerful DVD and is a wonderful tool to introduce others about what is and has been going on in our nation to destroy our republican form of government. This is something you will not want to miss.
6-4-2011 National Committee Meeting
The first semi annual National Committee Meeting of the Constitution Party for 2011 is scheduled to be held April 29th and 30th at Harrisburg, PA. I am inclined to feel that this will be one of the most important meetings ever held by the party. The list of speakers is most impressive.

30-3-2011 Federal Reserve
This past week one of our Constitution Party members sent me a link to a “Friday Night Special Program” by Glenn Beck. The subject matter was on the Federal Reserve. I took 40 minutes of my time to download and to watch the program. The program was very educational and well worth passing on to others to view. In light of this I felt it worth while to include a link to that program in this week’s message from the state chair.
16-3-2011 Among other things,
at our monthly Constitution Party State Executive Committee meeting last Saturday, we discussed the need to provide qualified speakers to address pertinent issues facing our state and nation at the monthly county meetings as well as at other functions. After some lengthy discussion it was agreed that we would ask an individual to coordinate that effort and we will solicit the help of all of our party members to make this a very successful endeavor.

2-3-2011 Thank you Banquet Committee
Our first annual Washington Birthday Banquet is behind us. A huge thank you goes to Leonard Olds and his committee for putting on such a great event.
23-2-2011 First of all I want to thank our members
for the tremendous support you have given Leonard Olds and his committee who are in charge of the Constitution Party’s First annual Washington Birthday Banquet this coming Saturday at the Larry Miller Campus of the Salt Lake Community College.
9-2-2011 A few items that I want to cover:
The first is a reminder to the County Chairmen of the State Executive meeting Saturday the 12th 10:00am-1:00pm at David Perry's home.
The second is progress being made in neighboring states.
2-2-2011 There are two items that I want to cover:
The first is a reminder of the Washington Birthday Banquet.
The second is to address a question that has come up in regard to the upcoming county conventions.
26-1-2011 Off year election year:
As most of you are aware 2011 is what is called an off year election year. From the sound of that, one would think that there is little that goes on politically during the off year election cycle, but in reality that is not the case at all. There are two very important types of events that take place in such years and I will address both of those in this issue.
19-1-2011 .
The growth of the party and the tremendous effort and success of our candidates this year has put a severe drain on the pocket books of most of our members. The number of candidates running for office nation wide and the number of votes received reached an all time high. In fact according to Richard Winger of Ballot Access News, if we add up the votes of each top statewide candidate in all of the states where we ran candidates, the party received over 1,000,000 votes. That is five times the number of vo
tes our party candidates received for the same races in 2006 which is a most remarkable accomplishment.
12-1-2011 Greetings:
From time to time I am forwarded a video that is very worth watching. Such was the case this past week. The video was a 60 Minute documentary on the colossal debt that is facing nearly every state in the union. This is a video that every American should watch, not just once, but at least a couple of times for the seriousness of our nation's plight to sink in.

Last week I reported on the election results that we experienced here in Utah. This week I would like to share with you some election results of the party in other parts of the West and the nation that I think would be of interest to you.

The Utah News media deliberately appear to be bending over backwards to avoid any fair coverage of our candidates.
This is especially true in light of the fact that the Utah CP is considered one of the strongest and best organized state parties of the CP and gave Chuck Baldwin, the 2008 CP presidential candidate the highest vote percentage in the nation....
